The Triton 08158 Snowmobile Trailer Coverall Gas Shock -1025N is the gas shock lift kit used on 10 foot Triton clamshell style snowmobile trailers. It opens the rear of the trailer only. Swiveling bolts at either end are part of the gas shock assembly and serve to attach to the trailer with mounting nuts. Shocks are sold individually, but we recommend replacing both when one goes out, as both shocks will have a similar lifespan and wear and tear characteristics.  Do not open or puncture the shock canister during replacement as the contents are under high pressure and could cause serious injury.

Extended length is 28-3/4"

Mounting hardware (5/16-inch coarse thread nuts) is not included.

This shock is rated for 1025N (Newtons) which equates to approximately 230 lbs. This is how much force it takes to compress.

 Ask The Triton Expert:

"Where can I go to get detailed information on my trailer?"

The Triton website has details about all of it's trailers. The customer instruction sheets in the website will give you numbers for common wear items and replacement parts (TritonTrailers.com Instruction Sheets). For anything beyond that please call your local dealer. Also, you should have received an infomation packet when you bought your trailer containing all this information and more. Again see your dealer for getting this packet if you didn't receive it.
